We are a public education organization for sufferers. We launched our first health website health in 1995 and this Dizzy and Vertigo Support community in 2014.

After suffering repeated bouts of vertigo from Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and looking for support related to the condition, I thought others might learn from what helped me.  I know how challenging it can be to find a reliable, accurate and friendly community to learn from.  Hence, the Dizzy and Vertigo Support Group was started.

Unless otherwise noted, the information presented on the Dizzysupport.org website (not including the forums) is written and edited by Jeffrey D. Roberts, who is an authority on the subject following countless hours of research.

My background:

I have testified to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) several times on behalf of IBS patients. His testimony to the FDA Advisory Committee about Lotronex was instrumental in returning the drug to the market in 2002 for diarrhea predominant IBS sufferers. I also provided testimony to the FDA in support of Zelnorm for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and constipation predominant IBS.

I have appeared on the Discovery Channel, National Public Radio and in Canadian Living Magazine, Today’s Dietitian, the FDA Consumer Magazine and has been quoted by CBS Evening News, Washington Post, USA Today, United Press International (UPI), Reuters, Associated Press, New York Times, Globe and Mail, and CBC Online.

I have a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree from Medaille College, Buffalo, New York. My thesis was entitled Awareness of Childhood Health Issues On Educational Outcome. I also hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from the University of Toronto. I recently co-authored and published a book related to the IBS Self Help and Support Group, entitled IBS Chat: Real Life Stories and Solutions.
